Casting and Fundraising for the film Aggie Pride

Aggie Pride, an upcoming short film written and directed by Quinton Littlejohn, will revisit the origins of the 1960 Greensboro sit-ins by focusing not on the moment history was made—but on the young people who made it. Currently in pre-production, Aggie Pride is actively casting and fundraising, with plans to film on location in Greensboro, including the A&T campus and surrounding historic sites. Altogether Ministries Fresh Fire Gathering Event (END MAR 27)

Through the end of March, Altogether Ministries will host a “Fresh Fire” gathering event – every Friday, starting at 7pm, at 1212 Randolph Ave in Greensboro. Special guest speakers will be Reverend Imani Moseley and Reverend Dr. Diamond Brooks. Doors open at 6:45. All persons are welcome.

Viewing and Discussion of The Souls Of Black Girls (END MAR 27)

West Market Street UMC’s Egg Hunt For Good (END MAR 28)

Spring Holiday Closings (END APR 03)

In observance of the Spring holidays, all county agency buildings in Alamance, Caswell, Davidson, Forsyth, Guilford, Randolph, and Rockingham counties will be closed on Friday, April 3rd. For more information on holiday closings or restricted operations, call your county administration building or visit their governmental website. Also in observance of the Spring holidays, Greensboro offices will be closed Friday, April 3rd, with no trash or recycling collections. Friday’s collections will take place on Thursday, and Thursday’s collection will take place on Wednesday. The Public Library and History Museum will be closed the 3rd and the 5th. On Friday, GTA will operate on a weekend schedule from 6am to 10pm. Crossmax Purple Route 1 will run half-hour service, and the Hopper Trolley will run normal hours 12pm to 12am. Michael Ealy on the Chancellor’s Speaker Series (END APR 07)

The North Carolina A&T State University Chancellor’s Speaker Series will feature acclaimed actor Michael Ealy, with the theme Quarter Zips and Matcha Moods, on Tuesday April 7, starting at 6pm, in the Harrison Auditorium. NC A&T Black Sportswriters Hall Of Fame Induction (END APR 11)

North Carolina A&T will host the 2026 Black Sportswriters Hall of Fame Induction on Saturday, April 11, at the A&T Student Center, 1403 John W. Mitchell Drive, in Greensboro. Randolph County Common Ground Festival (END APR 11)

Take Me Home

The Greensboro Police Department will be participating in the “Take Me Home” program. “Take Me Home” is a free program that allows family members and legal guardians to upload critical information for individuals with a cognitive impairment or developmental disability in the event that a registered individual encounters law enforcement or is reported missing. A lot of people don’t know this, but Triad Goodwill accepts food donations and routes them to local food banks.
